1. Admire the iconic skyline at the Bund

The Bund is undoubtedly on the top of list of things to see in Shanghai. The Bund displays Shanghai's classic skyline views of architecture and skyscrapers along the 500m wide Huangpu River, which dissects the city into two.

You can stroll along the Bund, or take a Huangpu River cruise to enjoy the city skyline. 

    

 

2. Observe Shanghai from the Oriental Pearl Tower

On the Oriental Pearl Tower, not only do you get to enjoy sitting inside a revolving hotel in this revered and outstanding landmark, but you also get to see Shanghai metropolis from a "Space Module" - the highest observatory level set at 350 meters (1,148 feet) above the ground.

The attractive building has 3 legs, 11 spheres and 15 observatory levels and represents the modern face of China.

 

3. Find a tranquil place to clear your mind  - Yu Garden

This garden was first laid out in 1559 and includes more than 20,000 square meters. It has an inner and outer garden as well as a number of buildings that hold both historic and aesthetic appeal.

There’s more to see at these gardens than just plants. The buildings are also decorated with dragons and other interesting reliefs and there are also attractive pavilions throughout the gardens. 

 

4. Visit our pandas at the Shanghai Zoo

Shanghai Zoo is the second-largest zoo and one of the ten best ecological zoos in China. It has a total area of 743,000 square meters (184 acres), with an exhibition area of 47,237 square meters (12 acres).

It keeps both the two lovely animals of giant pandas and lesser pandas in two exhibition areas. Two areas are separated by a lower shelf. The bamboo forest has been built as the habitat for the pandas.

Located on the People's Square near Nanjing Road, the "glassy" Shanghai Museum has a large collection of rare cultural relics - over 120,000 pieces. For example, artifacts include over 400 beautifully-decorated bronzes.

Most exhibits have English descriptions, including the Ancient Ceramics, Ancient Bronzes, and Ancient Sculptures.
